Leeward and Windward islands

The Caribbean Islands sweep in a huge 1,000-mile arc from Florida to South America. However, the cruising grounds for Jambalaya are the Windward and Leeward Islands, ranging from Anguilla in the north to Grenada 500 miles to the south, which take in such islands as Antigua, St. Kitts and Nevis, Guadeloupe, Dominica, Martinique, St. Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Jambalaya is based at the beautiful island resort of Petit St. Vincent (psvresort.com) which is at the heart of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Here, the islands of St. Vincent, Bequia, Mustique, the Tobago Cays, Canouan, Mayreau, Union Island and Carriacou are no more than a half-day's sail apart, and Grenada is within easy reach.
